Friday Favs :: April 10
Anna Osgoodby NYC Living :: Friday Favs :: April 10

It’s that time again.. Friday Favs! Check out what is in store for this week’s round-up.

  1. A constant argument amongst New Yorkers. What is really cheaper… Uber or Yellow Cabs? Well, luckily for you Forbes released an article this week on a mission to get to the bottom of the debate.
  2. For the last month I’ve been busy at work planning for the Tribeca Film Festival for a client and now we’re only a week out! Part of what I’ve been so busy with is planning some great social media sweepstakes that will be taking place over the next few weeks. We’re giving away everything from film screening passes, Vesey passes and even a meet and greet with Robert De Niro. So if you’re interested in attending, definitely check out VDKA 6100′s social media accounts! FacebookTwitter, and Instagram
  3. Neighbors living in NYC aren’t always pleasant.. but you will probably appreciate yours a lot more after reading this article from Thrillist.
  4. For all you baseball fans, baseball is officially back! While it’s not my favorite sport… I am a fan of the food at the games so it’s a day worth celebrating! In fact, if the weather cooperates I’ll be heading up to Yankee Stadium this evening. Helloooo garlic cheesies!
  5. This week One World Trade Center announced the opening date for the observation center to the public. It’s set to open on May 29th and is said to have an elevator that will take you from the ground to the 102nd floor in less than 60 seconds.

Enjoy your Friday lovelies!

Burger Bistro’s Donut Burger
Anna Osgoodby NYC Living :: Burger Bistro’s Donut Burger

In an effort to make up for all of the lost time of eating fatty deliciousness during my pre-Jamaiaca diet, tonight I had a donut burger. Yes, a Donut BurgerBurger Bistro has had me lured in with this masterpiece over the last few months and now was the time to finally give it a shot.

Say hello to this burger complete with a donut bun, burger topped with cheese followed by bacon and an over easy egg. Marrying my favorite breakfast foods with my other love of juicy meat goodness. I have to say, the combination worked pretty darn well too. Sweet yet the perfect balance between the saltiness of the meat and bacon.

Basically you need to try it for the mere ridiculous that is the Donut Burger. They’re only served on Wednesdays though so pen it onto your calendars!

Don’t Worry Be Happy
Anna Osgoodby Life + Design :: Don't Worry Be Happy Jamaica Trip

Well I’m back from Jamaica.. I think we can all attest that vacations are never long enough! It was such a fun trip! Lots of great family time with Chris’ family and the wedding was truly beautiful. Definitely a successful first trip out of the country.

Here’s a look at some of the highlights of our trip!

We flew Caribbean Airlines bright and early! They were great though.. fast, friendly and they fed us – which I’ll always be a fan of.

Cloudy airplane window.. but flying in was really beautiful. The island looks so lush and full of color from above.

After taking my first trip through customs we headed to the resort where we were welcomed to this view from our hotel balcony. Oh yeah, this view!

The night before the wedding we enjoyed dinner with all of the guests followed by an awesome bon fire on the beach. We also lit off Chinese lanterns, which were a little tricky, but we figured it out for the most part ;-)

Chris and his Goddaughter decided they wanted to go for a little flight parasailing! I settled for the less adventurous outing of kayaking on the trip.

Then it was time for the main event.. the wedding!

The ceremony was so nice and we celebrated into the wee hours of the night dancing away.

After the wedding we spent a couple more days enjoying the beach, unlimited pina coladas, some delicious bites and some more entertainment.
