It’s been a week! Between the weather, kitty adventures, and a full schedule I am ready for the weekend! Plus, guys, it’s my Birthday + Super Bowl weekend! To say the least, I’m looking forward to a fun weekend! Before we get there though he’s a look at some of my favorite links of the week.

1. One of my favorite sweets stop is hosting a pop-up cafe in Madison Square Park this weekend. They’ll be serving up some seasonal favorites as well as some fun options including hot chocolate made from their famous cereal milk.
2. The Post has reported that Citi Bike is coming on up, up to uptown! The program has been very popular in lower Manhattan and it’s exciting that the Upper East and West sides will hopefully be sharing the love soon! I’d totally love to take a bike for a ride around Central Park! 
3. The blizzard that wasn’t shutdown the city earlier this week and while we didn’t quite get the blizzard, the city was shutdown like we did. If you’ve ever wondered what an apocalyptic abandoned NYC looks like, here’s your chance.
4. Girls’ night is right! Our favorite Gossip Girl, Leighton Meester, has announced she’ll be back in the city and it’s not for filming GG (Man, I do miss that show). This time around she’s taking the stage to sing! To be honest, I’m not really familiar with much of her music yet, but have to support our girl!
5. Oh! Here’s another link I’m totally excited to have found this week! Racked released their list of “20 of the best Stationary Shops in New York City” Oh yeah! I LOVE me some good stationary and cards so you can bet I will be bookmarking this link for future adventures!

The Blizzard of 2015, the blizzard that didn’t quite end up being a blizzard in NYC. We only ended up getting a little over 6 inches and while it’s certainly a decent amount of snow, it’s not quite the 1-2 ft they were forecasting.

We did what we were told as good little New Yorkers and stocked up on some of the essentials..

One of the more exciting parts about the storm was packing this little fur ball across the city. I’m cat-sitting for my friend and I didn’t want to leave the kitty alone soooo we went for a little ride on transit before they shut it down!

Even though I’m kind of bummed we didn’t get as much snow as planned… We all made it out safe, warm and stocked up on some snacks. I’m totally still going to build a snowman on my balcony today too!

1. I absolutely loved this post I read on The Things I Learned From this week, "From living in NYC for 3 Years". It’s always so interesting to hear about how people ended up in the city to me, and while I wasn’t living at home at the time, I can surely relate to some of the things Jen mentions in this post.
2. I’ve been working with a client that just opened a restaurant in Union Square called Darrow’s that I’m really excited about. The restaurant is focused on providing healthy, delicious and locally sourced foods around the theme of farm fresh takeout. It’s a really beautiful space and offers a dining area, juice and smoothie bar, market, and a bar — so not just the typical restaurant scene. I have to say, the menu is really awesome too! 
3. Can everyone take a break for a second and relive what was Sunday’s Seahawks game? Actually, I’m not sure I want to repeat almost experiencing heart failure.. man was that insane! To celebrate the Hawks heading to the Super Bowl again, I wanted to share this cool company that I found out about this week. Two things I love are football and helping others and glassybaby is doing a little bit of both with their blue friday and we are 12 limited edition colors. Last year they were able to raise $58k for the Seahawks Women’s Association from a portion of the proceeds and they’re going in for a rePete (love this pun) this year! Check them out, they’re really pretty!
4. Some potentially awesome (yet far in the future) news came into conversation this week. Governor Cuomo announced plans for a AirTrain to connect the 7 train line to LaGuardia Airport. I’m pretty excited about this news because the only public transportation to LaGuardia is a bus that picks up in Harlem and let’s just say I stick to cabs when I’m flying to and from there currently.
5. Pope Francis is officially coming to town in the Fall. I’m Catholic, but regardless of your beliefs, I’m sure others still think it’s kind of cool he’s coming to the city. There aren’t any services confirmed yet but rumor has it there might be a mass at Madison Square Garden, now that would be a seriously huge mass.
