July Monthly Goal Check-in coming in hot! 🔥🔥🔥

Finished our backyard makeover!

With most of the muscle coming from Evan and the decor and finishing touches by me! I’m very excited that I can stop obsessing over it (many months of that) and now we can enjoy it instead! Which by the way, if you didn’t catch the reveal you can check it out here!

Got on my ish when it came to stepping it up on my blog

I cranked out 9 posts this month and planned out my updated blog schedule, which is pretty lofty for August so watch out!. I also had my first affiliate sales with my new networks (small, but still exciting!), increased my Pinterest monthly viewers from 5k to 27k+ and planned out some exciting goal-related content and resources I'm going to be launching SOON!

Had a really productive month at Bold & Pop

We had a very productive month at Bold & Pop and I’m feeling so optimistic and excited about the direction we're headed in. We banged out 4 Squarespace website design projects, signed 5 new projects and hosted our 2nd Social Media Business Bootcamp with such a great group of women! I also want to celebrate that we've increased our passive and workshop income by 10x since adding new offerings. The pandemic has been rough but it forced us to move forward with a lot of things and I'm excited to have new ways to serve others.

Upped my nutrition and fitness plan

Consistency has always been my downfall when it comes to both of these — isn’t that the case with so many of us! So it feels good to be able to up my game again after sticking with it. Hitting weekly goals week after week has me inching forward little by little and it feels good.

Was Featured on CEO Blog Nation

I've been working on my own PR strategy this summer and landed a press mention in CEO Blog Nation on a story about entrepreneurial curriculums. I submitted 5 other inquiries to some big pubs. Go big or go home is my current press motto.

Finished my 11/12 Book this Year

This month I got back into my reading routine, which I had taken a hiatus from for a few months and finished the 11th book of my 12 book goal for the year. So def going to need to up that one. To those of you who read a lot that might not seem like a lot.. but guys, there were years that went by that I didn’t finish a single book. 🙃 And I know tht isn’t a priority for many, but there were actually a lot of books I wanted to read — mostly non-fiction — so I’ve really enjoyed it being part of my routine. Plus, truthfully it’s such a Godsend in actually helping me go to sleep at night, so it’s kind of a double-purpose goal. I shared some of my favorites I’ve read this year so far in this post too!

Added another title to my life this month

Then on the personal side of things, I added a new title this month. There have been a lot the last few months too. First it was Puppy Mom, then Aunty and now Fiancé. Very exciting! I shared the details of our engagement on this post too!

Hope you guys made it through the month okay too! Just surviving these days is an accomplishment, let's be real... So be sure to give yourself some grace and check-in to celebrate your own small and big wins you made this month!

Why do I do goal check-ins?

I started doing goal check-ins publically as a personal accountability challenge. Working on my goals and strategies to accomplish them have always been really important and by sharing them I felt an extra weight of commitment. Plus, I wanted a way to try and encourage others to have their own check-ins and keep working on their own goals. Helping others reach their dreams has always felt like my purpose and by being vulnerable and sharing the journey of my own I hope to inspire others as well.

Why You Should Do the Things That Scare You
Anna Osgoodby Life + Biz :: Why You Should Do the Things That Scare You | Personal Development and Growth Mindset Blog

Today’s nudge of encouragement? Go and do the things that scare you! I'm talking about the things that you are letting fear hold you back from because you don't think you're qualified enough, you don't think you know enough about it or you're worried about what other people will think. Yes, those things!

#RealTalk when we first decided to dive right in and launch online workshops and our Social Media Business Bootcamp at Bold & Pop I was terrified. Not because I didn't think we had value to share, I KNEW we had that part under wraps... but live video... AH! What if I tripped up over my words... or what if there were glitches.. or what if I totally just spazzed out and forgot everything I needed to say. Yeah, maybe that's all a little dramatic for some online Zoom sessions but those were real fears of mine.

You know what though?! 2 bootcamps and 2 workshops later... my business partner and I had a wrap call today and I was so excited to talk about doing even MORE of these online trainings and making it a bigger part of our business not just during COVID but beyond. Say whattt?! Who would have thought a few months ago! Definitely not me.

Here's the thing though, every time you try something that is new or that scares you, you're opening the door to finding out something you actually like! And worst case? You find out it isn’t your thing and you can file that experience away and move right along. So get out there and start that podcast… start that blog… launch that product or service… and try and push your limits a little. No, you won’t be an expert right off the bat and maybe some of your fears will come true… but they might not be as big of a deal as you thought either. So get out there and do the dang thing anyways!

Monthly Goal Check-in :: 7 Accomplishments and Milestones from May and June
Anna Osgoodby Life + Biz :: Monthly Goal Check-in :: 7 Accomplishments and Milestones from May and June

You're getting a 2 for 1 in this month's goal check-in! I skipped publicly sharing last month's to not take away from the important conversations taking place. So today I'm sharing progress for May and June.

I don't have to tell you 2020 has been TOUGH for so many of us. Even with the hardships of the world and personally though, I've still been able to move forward in a lot of ways (many unexpected). So here are some of the highlights:

Revised the heck out of my Yearly Goals

First things first, I spent some time really evaluating the goals I had and made quite a few changes on the personal and biz front. Some just didn't serve me anymore and then other new ones became more important. Goals aren't set in stone, remember that!

Continued to Dive into Online Workshops at Bold & Pop

We launched and hosted our first social media business bootcamp at Bold & Pop and I also taught my first solo Instagram workshop for our biz too.

Signed 10 new projects

I'll be honest, our biz (like many) was hit pretty substantially from COVID. In the last 2 months though, we've been busting our booties to make some shifts and we signed 10 new projects! It's definitely been exciting to start building things up again.

Was Featured on Thrive Global

I've upped my game on pitching the media for my different expertises and projects and I was featured on Thrive Global!

Launched Adulting Archives Blog and Instagram

We officially launched the Adulting Archives Blog and Instagram account! I've also been working on some new content that will be coming out soon after we decided to pause our launch.

Joined new Affiliate networks for my blog

Upping my monetization strategy on my blog has been a goal of mine for a while so I joined a few new affiliate networks to align with those goals.

Became an Aunty and Puppy Mom

And then on the personal end, I also become an Aunty to the cutest little Squish and a puppy mom! So I've been spending a lot of time learning how I can be the best at both of those titles too!

So with that, I'll close by giving you a reminder to NOT GIVE UP! We still have half a year to go so don't completely write 2020 off. Yes, there have been SO many challenges but growth is growth, so don't forget to acknowledge it!
