Goal Check-in :: Quarter 1 of 2021
Anna Osgoodby Life & Biz | Goals Coach | Goal Check-in :: Quarter 1 of 2021

My goal check-ins are backkkk! You may have noticed I took a break from sharing them publicly (after 2+ years😱) but real talk, I’ve had to step back from my personal account and blog while I’ve been focused on getting the new biz up and running.

That being said, you know how much I love chatting about goals and doing these check-ins so I wanted to do a quarterly recap. Because while I may have been quiet on the topic, I’ve been making some MOVES behind the scenes. Here are a few of the highlights from this quarter:

Refinanced our house

I’ve definitely been making some moneyyy moves this year and I kicked it off with refinancing the house to take advantage of some long-term savings.

Bought a new car

Another big move was buying a new car. We decided we could really use a SUV for our lifestyle and adventures so I traded my Honda in.

Hit 50 rides on the Peloton

Working on my fitness goals has been a priority this year and I’ve been putting in the work! So thankful for all of my friends who have them too who have been such great accountability partners as well!

Got Going Bold Studio up and running

I can’t even name how many things have gone into making this happen. Holy hell, it’s been a lot. Launching my new website, creating new proposal/social media reports/client templates, overhauling my onboarding and a whole lot of other things!

Grew the new biz Insta account to over 500 followers

More important than the numbers though, I’ve made some of the most amazing connections with other biz owners on the new account!

Made my first freelance hire

I definitely needed to call in some help this quarter and luckily this was one of my easiest decisions. It was also a big one because I’d never done it before!

My theme of my yearly goals is to make bold moves that will set me up for the long term and I definitely didn’t waste any time getting down to business. It was a quarter of making a lot decisions and a lot of growth!

I hope you’ve enjoyed the return of my check-ins and that it inspires you to do one for yourself. Progress is progress and you deserve to celebrate your wins both big and small! 🙌🎉

Why do I do goal check-ins?

I started doing goal check-ins publically as a personal accountability challenge. Working on my goals and strategies to accomplish them have always been really important and by sharing them I felt an extra weight of commitment. Plus, I wanted a way to try and encourage others to have their own check-ins and keep working on their own goals. Helping others reach their dreams has always felt like my purpose and by being vulnerable and sharing the journey of my own I hope to inspire others as well.

I’ll be offering the same services — branding, Squarespace website design and social media marketing! I’ll just have a brand spanking new business I’ll be working under and I’ll be flying solo.

I’m so incredibly proud of everything we built at Bold & Pop over the years so it’s definitely very bittersweet to be at the end of this chapter but I’m also really looking forward to the next one!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of the support over the years! It truly has meant the world and I hope you’ll continue to follow along for my next chapter! 💗🎉

Embracing Tough Chapters of Life
Anna Osgoodby Life + Biz :: Embracing Tough Chapters of Life

Real talk, life has been tough lately.

Don’t get me wrong, this def isn’t a pity party. I’m going to be justttt fine. I’m just smack dab in the middle of a season of change and with that comes a lot of unrest.

Truthfully, I’ve never minded social media being a highlight reel. In fact, I like being able to celebrate a lot of the great things about our lives and memories. I also appreciate when people can show up and be real about the ups and downs of life. So here I am keeping it real.

So many of us struggle in silence or only talk about the hard times we’ve gone through AFTER we’ve overcome them. We put on these fronts day to day that everything is peachy only later to expose that wasn’t actually the case. And listen, I get why people do it.

When you say “tough times” people run away from those conversations. It can be uncomfortable and It’s a lot easier to talk about struggles when they are past tense. When you’re on the other side and you’ve had time to reflect on those teachable moments or let your wounds heal.

Here’s the thing though, going through tough times isn’t a weakness, it’s real life, and I think there’s a lot of power in speaking up while you are mid-storm. When you don’t have all of the answers but keep showing up anyways. When you’re going through those messy chapters taking things a day at a time.

Those are the times you’re tested.
Those are the times you are pushed to make changes.
Those are the times you grow.

Maybe it’s not as eloquent or approachable to talk about, but when it comes to life I want to acknowledge ALL of it. My highest highs, painful lows and everything in between. Because you’ll only ever know my full story when you can read all of the chapters.
