Last week we got hit with a massive blizzard (5th worst in NY history!) and a week later we are still dealing with the aftermath here. Not only were streets still not plowed as of this weekend, but a whole other issue is taking over the city. The garbage! Some places, including the Upper East Side haven’t had garbage picked up since before Christmas! New Yorkers are known for having a lot of garbage (not exactly a pride point) so imagine not having it picked up for over a week! Mind you, we have 3 garbage pick-ups a week. It’s getting out of hand— see Darcy next to the massive pile above! Half of the garbage trucks are still dealing with snow clean up too so we are just crossing our fingers that there isn’t a huge rat infestation soon!
