This weekend was the best kind. One full of Birthday and holiday parties! After Sam’s surprise Birthday party, it was time to celebrate Chris and some of his friends’ BIrthdays as well. Location? American Retro Bar all the way west in Hell’s Kitchen. Low-key, Ski-ball, and beer pong made it an ideal location to celebrate the boys’ Birthdays. Better yet, it was a great night of celebration for many reasons. One of my favorites being that the ducks stomped the beavers and will officially be heading to the BCS National Championship game! So as you might of guessed it was a fun evening.

Sunday was another first experience for me during my stay in the city! My first Hanukkah party! One of the girls I have become really good friends with here is Jewish and has been doing her best to expose me to the culture, vocab, and now the holidays! It’s definitely a new experience since I was raised Catholic and don’t have any friends on the west coast that are Jewish. It was really fun too! All of her friends and family were very welcoming to having me join and there was delicious food to be had! The kids really stole the spotlight of the night though and we had a lot of fun playing with them and their new toys. I even learned how to play dreidel!

All and all it was an awesome weekend! One that didn’t include much sleep though.. That can wait until next weekend though right?!
