SVA Mentor Show
This Thursday evening I was lucky enough to be able to attend the School of Visual Art’s Mentor Show Reception! Our Co-worker and friend Katy had one of her photography and multimedia projects on display.
The venue was along the Hudson river in the west village and along with the great art on display it also had beautiful views from the balcony on the 15th floor. I simply can’t get enough of the views around this city!
I’m not particularly educated in art, but am interested in it and can appreciate the work of the artists. The students in the show were selected to work with some of their mentors that are professionals in photography across the board in the industry. It was a pretty cool concept and the a lot of the work was phenomenal. Katy was our star of the night though! Truly a talented young woman! You can check out a sneak peak of her work above (two photos with the multimedia piece playing on the monitor) or check out her website for more information.
Apparently Bono and The Edge dropped by the show later too— kind of cool! Although, I wasn’t there for that.
