I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine’s Day! Personally, I hit a sugar overload and don’t think I need candy for the rest of the week.. This Valentine’s Day started with some delicious chocolates from my boss and some amazing cookies from one of our clients. Thank you Kim! The cookies were from Levain Bakery on the Upper West Side and they are the best cookies perhaps in the whole world. They’re about an inch and a half thick and probably have your whole daily’s worth of calories, but calories don’t count on holidays right?! My favorite were the Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip cookie. Click the link above for a picture of the heavenly goodness.

Aside from all of our goodies there was still plenty of work to get done. Part of my day included making a trip down to the Javits Center to help out at Toy Fair for one of our clients. Toy Fair is huge! I was expecting wild children running around everywhere, but instead the event was pretty corporate full of buyers and executives for companies. Nonetheless the event is pretty big annual event in the city so it was cool to be able to check it out this year. 

After we closed up the booth for the evening my next mission started. Try to make it home. Javits is on 11th avenue down in the 30’s, which for those unfamiliar with the island is completely opposite from where I live. I eventually made it, a little later than I had planned, but I made it. I really wanted to dress up Scooter as Cupid for the evening, but working late killed that idea. Instead I had a couple of minutes to fix myself before heading over to spend the evening with Chris. I’ve never been a huge fan of Valentine’s Day.. but this may be one of my favorites. Why you may ask? Burgerssss! I suggested we ordered in burgers for Valentine’s Day and Chris liked the idea too, which made for a good night. Sometimes I’m pretty easy to please. Chris got me some really nice gifts and flowers too so it was very nice. Top off the night watching Gossip Girl and I was a happy girl. I must add that Chris didn’t watch that with me though.. packing for his trip to Vegas and Miami the next day took priority to watching my girly show with me, haha. I suppose I understand why :)
