Summer weather in New York is officially here. Although I am very excited to have survived my first winter here and finally have made it back to the sunshine I can’t lie when I say I’m a little bit nervous. It’s been in the 80’s for the last week and a half or so, and hit the 90’s this weekend. Definitely some beautiful days to be had don’t get me wrong! I can already tell the humidity might be the death of me though. The air is so thick some days you feel as though you could swim through it, and I know this is just the beginning.
After my first touch of sun sickness this weekend I was on a mission to buy an AC for my bedroom for Scootie and I. I need to make sure the poor little wiener dog doesn’t roast during the day while I’m at work and I can sleep at night! So it was off to PC Richard for me! Besides having central AC in our Enumclaw house, I’ve never had to deal with an AC before and let alone buy one so I was depending on faith for the credentials on the box. I think I made a fine purchase though for my little 80 square foot bedroom.
Thanks to Chris too for carrying it home and up my stairs for me, and then coming back to my apartment to help me install it when I looked at the instructions like they were in a foreign language! By the evening, my AC was in place though and Scootie and I are about to sleep in peace and comfort tonight!
